About Us
David and myself moved to Worthing in 1986, I had
always wanted to run a B&B so after a few years we bought our
Edwardian house near to the sea front. The house had been a guest
house some years before and we have maintained many of the original
features.
We opened in 1994 and provide a warm, 'Yorkshire' welcome to our
guests. We have first hand knowledge of many of the
attractions of Sussex and its surrounding areas and take great
pleasure in giving any help and assistance we can to our guest
during their stay.
When trying to choose a name for the guest house we decided on
Tamara. It is the name of our daughter
but has the meaning of 'palm tree', that seemed to be quite an
appropriate name for a south coast guest house.
